A broad spectrum of stakeholders, including community leaders, political figures, and organized groups, are already assembled in Essien Udim Local Government Area under the platform of the Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative to formally unveil the initiative’s chapter in the area,
The gathering marks a significant step toward deepening its local footprint, enhancing collaboration between leaders and residents, and stimulating active citizen participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Key deliberations will highlight the value of unity in governance, as well as sustained backing for prominent leaders such as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, an illustrious son of Essien Udim and Governor Umo Eno.
Spearheaded by the initiative’s President General, Engr. Uwem Okoko, alongside other principal officers, the initiative, is canvassing for continuity in leadership at the federal level through a second tenure for President Tinubu. It believes this would help maintain momentum in economic growth, infrastructure renewal, healthcare delivery, educational advancement, and social protection programmes.
In the same vein, it affirms that Governor Umo Eno deserves another term to further drive and entrench the gains of the Arise Agenda which policy framework places strong emphasis on rural transformation, job creation, accessible healthcare, infrastructure expansion, and improved educational systems, priorities that are expected to benefit communities within Essien Udim.
It is also the belief of the initiative that a new term for Senate President Godswill Akpabio will consolidate on his prominence in the power equation in Nigeria with attendant benefits for Akwa Ibom State.
The inauguration of the local chapter is, therefore, seen as a pivotal move toward fostering sustainable development within the area and contributing meaningfully to broader state and national progress through good placements during the coming election cycle.
