Uduak Odudoh Doles Out 50 Million Naira, Constituents, Aides, Become Millionaires

Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh has disbursed 50 million naira in business grants to constituents, aides, and friends, months after a N500 million mega empowerment in 2025.

Constituents of Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency woke up to a life-changing Sunday as their representative, Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh, shared N50 million in direct business grants.

In what could be described as “pleasant Sunday surprise” dozens of beneficiaries received cheques in millions at his country home.

According to the lawmaker, the June 28, 2026 empowerment targeted three groups: constituents, staff, and close allies as Individual grants ranged from N3 million, N5 million, to N10 million per beneficiary, depending on their business proposal and needs. The aim, Odudoh said, is to help recipients scale existing businesses and create jobs within the constituency.

Announcing the gesture on his social media, Odudoh wrote:
“Yesterday, 28th June 2026, I empowered my Constituents, my staff and my friends with various amounts of business grants to the tune of Fifty Million Naira (N50,000,000.00) only.

After my mega empowerment program last year, I made a commitment with my people that other empowerments will be coming at intervals.”

This is not the first time the federal lawmaker is making headlines for large-scale empowerment.

In 2025, Odudoh executed a “mega empowerment programme” worth over N500 million, which distributed grants, tools, and startup capital across the three Local Government Areas he represents.

Vowing to make it a tradition, he added: “By the Grace of God I will sustain it.”

Constituents React
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, describing the intervention as timely and impactful. Many said the funds will be used to expand trading, agriculture, and small-scale manufacturing businesses within Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin, and Eastern Obolo.

For many in the constituency, Odudoh’s gesture is being seen as one of the most direct cash interventions by a National Assembly member in recent times.
