This was disclosed by the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho on Tuesday 03 November 2026, while speaking at the Annual World Ports Conference in London, UK.
According to him, the improvement was driven by policy changes introduced by the Federal Government as part of its economic reforms.
He said, “Statistically, the exports from Nigeria in the last two years have increased by 25%.”
Dantsoho also added that the authority has established 4 collaborative arrangements involving terminal operators, Nigeria Customs Service, (NCS) and other relevant government agencies, in order to improve port efficiency.
