LAGOS, NIGERIA — Celebrity nightlife mogul and socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, has announced a N10 million donation toward content creator Peller’s upcoming wedding to fellow streamer Jarvis, but with one major condition attached.
In a video shared on Peller’s Instagram page, the moment the young couple delivered their wedding invitation to Chief Priest was captured. After receiving the invite, the barman asked what they wanted for their marriage.
“I will give you 10 million naira,” Chief Priest stated. “But see, if this wedding should shake, you will refund my money.”
The blunt condition immediately sparked reactions online, as the businessman explained that his stance was born out of past experiences.
According to Chief Priest, he has generously sponsored several weddings in the past, only for those unions to end in separation or divorce shortly after the ceremonies. The losses, he noted, have cost him millions of naira.
“I’ve sponsored marriages before and they scattered after two months,” he lamented in the clip. “That’s why I’m putting this condition.”
