The All Progressives Congress (APC), today conducted its governorship primary elections across Nigeria’s 36 states, with Akwa Ibom State witnessing strong grassroots mobilization in support of incumbent Governor Umo Eno’s second-term ambition.
At the party event in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, the Commissioner for Works, Professor Eno Ibanga, led stakeholders and party faithful in a show of unified backing for Governor Eno. Addressing the crowd, Prof. Ibanga urged residents to prepare to support all APC candidates in the upcoming elections, stating that the governor’s administration has delivered tangible development to Mkpat Enin and is positioned to achieve more when re-elected.
“Pastor Umo Eno has brought so much development to Mkpat Enin Local Government Area and is poised to do more for the benefit of the people when re-elected,” Prof. Ibanga said.

The Commissioner cast his vote at Ukpum Minya Ward 1, where he reiterated his confidence in the governor’s leadership. He called on the people to maintain faith with the APC and commended Governor Eno for steering the state meritoriously.
While congratulating the governor on securing the party’s nomination for a second term, he pledged to mobilize widespread support across Mkpat Enin and beyond to ensure victory.
