Victor Osimhen has been advised to be more mindful of his words during post-match interviews after criticizing his Galatasaray teammates following their Champions League match against Juventus. Former Nigerian international defender Ifeanyi Udeze warned Osimhen against creating division within the team, saying “A tree cannot make a forest”.
Osimhen had expressed disappointment with his team’s performance, stating, “I’m disappointed in the performance of the team—the whole team. We qualified, but I think we have a lot to improve on if we are to advance to the next round and play against the big teams”.
Udeze emphasized that Osimhen’s comments could be perceived as divisive, saying, “When you say you are disappointed in your teammates, that is where the problem begins. It suggests that you want to divide the dressing room”.
