USS Gerald R. Ford Enters Red Sea, Bolstering US Military Presence Near Iran

The world’s largest warship, the USS Gerald R. Ford, has entered the Red Sea, positioning itself near Iran amid escalating tensions. This nuclear-powered supercarrier, carrying over 75 combat aircraft, transited the Suez Canal and is now part of a strategic US military buildup in the region.

The Ford’s arrival gives the US carrier strike groups on both sides of the Middle East, with the USS Abraham Lincoln already operating in the Arabian Sea. This deployment allows for multi-angle attacks and enhances the US military’s aerial capabilities, including fighter jets, bombers, and electronic warfare aircraft.

The Ford’s strike group includes guided missile cruisers, destroyers, and submarines, making it a formidable floating city of war. Combined with KC-135 tankers circling over Jordan, the US has created a non-stop aerial war machine, surrounding Iran from air, sea, and land.
