Segun Awosanya, a member of the Lagos State #EndSARS panel has said he won’t be joining issues with the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed over the report submitted to the Lagos State government.
Governor Sanwo-Olu had promised to produce a white paper in the next seven days after the panel submitted the report.
Mohammed had at a press conference on Tuesday maintained the stance of the government that there was no killing as revealed in the leaked report. He added that the report was laced with errors.
The leaked part of it had revealed that at least 9 people were killed during an attack in which the Nigerian Army and the Police attacked protesters singing the national anthem at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 320, 2020.
Awosanya, who is also a human rights activist and popularly known as Segalink while featuring as a guest on Channels TV Politics Today on Tuesday evening said such a statement from the agent of government shows that the gap between the government and the people keeps getting wider.
