The first of such questions is, how long has this application been in existence? Well, this is a new application digital finance application announced during the TECNO Camon 19 launch. At the launch event held in New York, the company enthusiastically announced TECNO Wallet. But, the pilot project for this application has been available in Nigeria and Kenya since the month of May.
Like other digital finance applications, the new wallet application from TECNO helps its users save and spend their money. A user can buy airtime or data, renew TV subscriptions, pay electricity bills, and so much more.
TECNO promises that payment via this platform will be quick, easy, and secure. The application will come pre-installed with all new TECNO devices and is also available for download via the Google PlayStore. From the list of countries this application is readily available in, the TECNO Wallet may be built specifically for Africa.
While this will help boost its growth because Africa is TECNO’s largest market, the application will compete with existing applications like OPay, ABEG, PalmPay, and others. It could also leverage fan loyalty from TECNO device owners amounting to more users. Will you be comfortable saving your money with TECNO?
