Cristiano Ronaldo and Diogo Jota scored a goal apiece to lead Portugal to victory against Luxembourg on Tuesday, March 30.
Luxembourg had gone ahead in the 30th minute after a fine header from Gerson Rodrigues. However, Portugal clawed their way back into the ggame after Diogo Jota scored a header of his own on the stroke of halftime.
Cristiano Ronaldo put Portugal ahead in the 50th minute with a fine finish after getting on the end of Cancelo’s chip over the Luxembourg defence. Substitute Palhinha then put the away side further ahead after he headed in a corner kick in the 80th minute.
