The Honourable Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Professor Eno Ibanga, has extended his warm congratulations to Professor OtoAbasi Akpan on his appointment as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University.
Prof. Akpan’s appointment, ratified by Governor Umo Eno, marks a significant milestone in his illustrious career, following his outstanding performance as acting Vice Chancellor for four months.
In his congratulatory message, Prof. Eno Ibanga commended Prof. Akpan’s exceptional leadership and academic prowess, expressing confidence in his ability to drive the university’s growth and development. “I am confident that under your leadership, the university will achieve new heights of excellence,” he stated.
Prof. Eno Ibanga also congratulated Mr. Odudu Otu on his election as Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mkpat Enin chapter. Mr. Otu, a seasoned politician and expert in outdoor advertising, succeeds Hon. Utitofon Jeremiah, who now serves as the immediate past Chairman.
In his message, Prof. Eno Ibanga praised Mr. Otu’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to the advancement of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area. He urged Mr. Otu to utilize his new position to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno in the 2027 elections. “Your leadership will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our party and government,” he noted.
