Spain secured a hard-fought victory over Georgia in the World Cup qualifier on Sunday, March 28, courtesy of a late winner from Dani Olmo.
Georgia will be gutted to get nothing from the game after opening the scoring just before halftime with a goal from Kvaratskhelia. Spain equalized after Ferran Torres scored from point-blank range after latching on to a cross from Jordi Alba.
Dani Olmo then seized the moment in injury time as he shot past the goalkeeper from long range. There was still enough time for Substitute, Shengalia, to receive his marching orders after flying into a tackle on Pedri with his studs up.
Spain momentarily top the group with four points from two games ahead of Sweden who play Kosovo later tonight.
