The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 542 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 152,616. Twenty-three new deaths were recorded while there were 681 recoveries. Lagos State is reported to have topped the list.
The 542 new cases are reported from 21 states- Lagos (99), Kwara (91), Ebonyi (48), Ogun (44), Kaduna (42), Oyo (33), Ondo (25), FCT (24), Kebbi (23), Osun (20), Ekiti (17), Nasarawa (12), Imo (11), Delta (10), Gombe (9), Kano (8), Katsina (7), Rivers (7), Edo (5), Plateau (4) and Bauchi (3).
The breakdown of the NCDC tweet shows that the 542 cases were from 21 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with a total of 99 cases. Kwara State followed with 91 cases while Ebonyi State had 48 cases. Find the breakdown in the picture below.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), all the thirty-six (36) states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have so far recorded cases of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for most cases in Nigeria.
So far, 152,616 cases have been confirmed, 129,300 cases have been discharged and 1862 deaths have been recorded.
