The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 521 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 152,074. Eight new deaths were recorded while there were 1119 recoveries. Lagos State is reported to have topped the list.
The 521 new cases are reported from 20 states- Lagos (166), Ogun (52), Rivers (47), Adamawa(37), Ebonyi (37), Akwa Ibom (25), Osun (21), Bayelsa (18), Kaduna (17), Oyo (16), FCT (15), Ekiti (14), Kano (12), Edo (12), Borno (9), Yobe (8), Ondo (6), Nasarawa (4) Bauchi (2) and Kwara (3).
The breakdown of the NCDC tweet shows that the 521 cases were from 20 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with a total of 166 cases. Ogun State followed with 52 cases while Rivers State had 47 cases. Find the breakdown in the picture below.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), all the thirty-six (36) states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have so far recorded cases of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for most cases in Nigeria.
So far, 152,074 cases have been confirmed, 128,619 cases have been discharged and 1839 deaths have been recorded.
