In her tributes to the late Kujore, veteran juju musician and President of the Association of Juju Musicians in Nigeria, Queen Ayo Balogun, stated that he was among the modern-day pioneers of juju music. She told Saturday Beats, “It is very painful that he got sick and we lost him at that age. He was a very talented juju musician, whose compositions were very deep. His songs usually made one to think deeply. He was more of a brother and friend to me. I usually called on him whenever I had an event and he always showed up whenever he was available. As a colleague, I respected him so much, especially for his talent.”

Regarding the role AJUMN would play in his funeral rites, Balogun said, “We would have an artistes’ night in his memory just a few days to his burial, probably on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.”
