It’s funny that iPhone XR can actually be regarded as “the most affordable phone” despite its price.
This is so because it was launched alongside iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, which are way more expensive.
Just like iPhone X, it ditches the physical home button and fingerprint scanner.
It also comes with an all-screen design and facial recognition technology to quickly unlock your phone.
iPhone XR has a beautiful and attractive bezel-less design with a large display for a better viewing experience.
The front and back are built with glass and protected with an oleophobic coating for maximum durability. This is a similar design found on other recent iPhones.
Surprisingly, it has a larger size than the iPhone XS, which is more advanced. The 6.1 inches is wrapped with metal and other components.
It has curved edges that fall away from the side of the screen and two speaker grills on the bottom.
The device doesn’t come with a headphone jack; this means you’ll be stuck using the bundled earbuds that come with a lightning connection at the end. You’ll also be able to use 3.5mm shod headphones with an adaptor which you can easily obtain from any Apple outlet.
XR has a similar button arrangement as iPhone X; volume buttons are pegged to the left side while Siri activation button is situated on the right side of the phone.

The smartphone comes with a large 6.1-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen. This came as a surprise as recent iPhones feature OLED or super AMOLED screen.
Apple, however, claimed that this version of LCD is the most advanced in the industry, so far. This means that you should expect rich color reproduction and optimized overall screen effect.
The large screen will offer users a better viewing experience. This huge size will, of course, make it feel big in the palms. So, this is definitely not for you if you don’t like holding huge phones.
The curved edges, smooth feel of the glass body, and overall design make the device easy to hold. This will greatly reduce any difficulty that may come with the huge size.
The camera is another indication that Apple genuinely intended to make this device the “most affordable phone”.
Unlike XS and XS Max, this model sports a single 12MP rear camera with an LED flash as an accomplice.
If you’re worried about Bokeh Effect, worry no more.
The device features focus pixels that will get the job done. This will be done by using depth sensing and background blurring. You can change the depth of the blur effect to suit your desire.
iPhone XR has a 7MP front camera that uses TrueDepth camera feature for selfies and face unlock. It also comes with the Smart HDR in the mix, allowing it to capture high-end elements of a photo, fusing the light and dark elements.
These features enable it to produce stunning, colorful, and crystal clear photos.

XR is equipped with a 3GB RAM, which is lower than that of its launch mates.
The good news is that it is also equipped with the all-new A12 Bionic chipset. This is a powerful and advanced chipset that will collaborate with the RAM to deliver an efficient output.
As for external storage, the device comes in several sizes; 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
iPhone XR Price
As the “most affordable phone”, it’s obviously less expensive compared to XS and XS Max. It is, however, quite more expensive than most flagship Samsung and Nokia Android phones.
The exact price of iPhone XR depends on the external storage size. But the starting price you should expect is stated below.
