Gabriel Jesus leads Arsenal to 4-2 victory against Leicester: Arsenal Summer signing, Gabriel Jesus was part of the four Arsenal goals that drowned Leicester City at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.

The Brazilian opened the scoring, banging in two goals in the first half before creating two assists for the third and fourth goal by Xhaka and Martineli respectively in the second half.

Gabriel Jesus was on the verge of getting a hattrick but his close call attempts were stopped by Ward the keeper who stopped him from a near one-on-one situation, the next was stopped by Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi after a sliding tackle from behind stopped Jesus from netting his third. Jesus had another attempt on goal after a cross from Saka saw the goal keeper scamper with the ball before it fell into the legs of Gabriel Jesus who shot wide.

Arsenal was blazing hot from the beginning to the end of the match ensuring they never gave Leicester a breathing space even when they scored. The gunners wasted no time in recovering each goal after it seemed Leicester were getting back into the game by cutting one goal off.

Leicester looked like the had hopes of taking a point from the match, when Saliba’s header clearance landed in the Arsenal’s goal, giving the Brazilian defender his first own goal in the premiership. However, Arsenal was quick to respond to the own goal as a mistake by Leicester goalkeeper, Ward, ensured Xhaka got one back for the gunners.

Iheanacho was introduced to change the game as Jamie Vardy paved way for the Nigerian’s expertise to be tested. Iheanacho did not disappoint as he immediately provided an assist for Madisson to strike through the legs of Arsenal’s goalkeeper Ramsdale to give Leicester a glimpse of hope. This hope did not last long as Martineli wins a ball thereafter in the midfield, finding Gabriel Jesus who provides an assist back to him for a thunderous strike to gave Arsenal their fourth goal and sealed any hope for a Leicester come back.
