FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles drops out of Africa’s top three

The Super Eagles slumped in the latest Fifa World ranking, despite their flamboyant start to the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The three-time African Champions slipped one step below from 30th to 31st in the World.

The Jose Peseiro’s tutored side defeated Sierra Leone and Sao Tome in the Afcon qualifiers, but defeat to Mexico and Ecuador in the last international friendlies proved costly.

Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles are now 30th in the world and third on the continent.

Super Eagles are now fourth on the continent, behind Senegal, Morocco, and Tunisia, who are first, second, and third respectively.

The Eagles are followed by the Indomitable Lions completing the top five ranking teams in Africa.
