Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen will have some injury concerns as his CB options stretches thin ahead of Nigeria’s next group game following injuries to Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem.
Speaking after his side’s 1-0 against Egypt at the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua, Super Eagles coach disclosed that Omeruo, who was replaced in the 79th minute suffered a groin injury.
The extent of the CB’s injury will be ascertained when the team arrives their hotel, but Eguavoen expressed some worry the played was really hurt.
On the Chidozie Awaziem’s recovery from a “little strain” – which he picked up during practice. The Coach said the player was not fully fit but could return to training soon.
Nigeria next face Sudan on Saturday in their second game of the group stages.
