The lawmaker representing Sokoto South, Senatorial District, Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba has been appointed as the new Deputy Minority Whip of the Senate.
The Peoples Democratic Party appointed him to that post following the defection of the former Deputy Minority Whip, Senator Sahabi Ya’u (Zamfara North) from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC), making the post to be vacant.
This was communicated to Senate President Ahmad Lawan via a letter he read on the floor of the House on Thursday to confirm his appointment.
The letter was signed by the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Tsuari.
