Crystal Palace Midfielder Olise Rules Out Representing Algeria- It's Either Nigeria Or France

The battle for the senior international future of Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Olise has been narrowed down to just two options in Nigeria and France as he has turned his back on Algeria.

Reports in Algeria suggest he will likely be in their sqaud for the international games that will be played in September but those reports are wide off the mark according to Bouregaa Benazous.

” Olise refuses the option of representing Algeria and haven’t spoke with members of the Algeria Football Federation. He doesn’t see himself as a player of the Algeria national team in the future and will focus on representing France for now”, he posted on Twitter.

“Although everything still depend on who the next president of the Algeria FA will be but it’s almost impossible for the Crystal Palace midfielder to play for Algeria”, he concluded.

OwmGoalNigeria.com sort to hear from a the camp of the player and was told he hasn’t close the door on Nigeria and will be open taking up the chance if he is offered one in the future. He snubbed a callup to the team in 2020.

The source said he wants to weigh up his chances with France which still remains his priority, but if it doesn’t work then he will gladly welcome the idea of playing for Nigeria because he felt wanted when they called him up two years ago.
