The Presidency, on Tuesday, March 30, maintained that President Muhammadu Buhari will continue to govern Nigeria from London.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said this during his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today after the President travelled to the United Kingdom for a “routine medical check-up”. According to him, the President does not need to transfer power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The Spokesman said, “He (Buhari) will continue from wherever he is. The requirement of the law is that if the President is going to be absent in the country for 21 days and more, then that transmission is warranted. In this particular instance, it is not warranted.”
