The former Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muiz Banire has expressed the possibility in running for Presidency in the 2023 election.
He stated this while featuring as a guest on Politics Sunday on Channels TV on Sunday night, monitored by Newsbreakers.
“It is a possibility but it won’t be under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or the All Progressives Congress (PDP),” he declared.
He noted that all that have been listed as likely candidates for the number one office have the right to contest and they are people of high profile.
Banire, who was a commissioner for Environment during the administration of former Lagos Governor, Bola Tinubu said all those who suggested that the APC Chieftain is the best candidate for the job have all their personal rights and opinion to support him.
Tinubu who recently returned from abroad after surgery is currently resting and has yet to make any comment on the subject.
Many had touted Tinubu as the next candidate of the party. Others listed include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello amongst others.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria also said the recent amendment by the Senate that allows only direct primaries for elections is a good development.
