Bandits abduct Zamfara NULGE chairman’s pregnant wife

Bandits have abducted Ramatu, the wife of the Chairman, Zamfara State Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Sanusi Gusau.

Ramatu, who is nine-month pregnant, was abducted at her husband’s house in the early hours of Tuesday.

Her husband said the bandits broke into the house around 1am on Tuesday.

He said he woke up when the hoodlums jumped over the wall with the intention to abduct him, adding that he hid where they could not see him.

“They jumped over the wall and broke my door. But before they could enter my room, I was able to hide somewhere.

“When they searched the house and did not see me, they abducted my pregnant wife, Ramatu.

“She could give birth anytime from now because her expected delivery date is this week,” he added.

Sanusi maintained that the bandits had yet to reach out to him.

The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Mohammed Shehu, could not be reached for comments as of the time of filing this report.
