Akeredolu gives son fresh appointment

Ondo governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has appointed his son, Babajide Akeredolu, as the Director-General, Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU).

This is following the nomination of those that will be working with him as he begins his second term.

During his first term in office, the criticism that trailed the alleged influence of Babajide in his administration made Governor Akeredolu tell APC leaders that he could choose to name his son the Chief of Staff.

At campaigns rallies, Akeredolu said he was glad to have a son that could help in his administration.

As part of the process, Akeredolu also named 14 commissioners-designate and seven special advisers, having appointed four Commissioners at the inception of his second term in office. They include Mr Wale Akinterinwa (Commissioner for Finance); Mr Ojogo Kimikanboh Donald (Commissioner for Information) ; Sir Charles Titiloye (Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General) and Engr.Aminu Raimi Olayiwola (former Special Adviser on Works).

Names of other nominees are Mrs Bamidele Ademola Olateju, Otunba Adefarati Adegboyega, Rt. Hon. Fatai Olotu, Dr. Julianah Oshadahun – Otunba Dele Ologun, Mr. Sunday Adekunle, Engr. Razak Obe-Ifedore and Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka.

Others are Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju- Odigbo Mr. Femi Agagu, Wale Akinlosotut. Hon. Lola Fagbemi and Chief Olayato Aribo.

A statement by Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, said those nominated for the position of Special Advisers were Chief (Dr) Victor Ategbole, Dr. Wunmi Ilawole, Barr Tobi Ogunleye, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, Mrs Olamide Falana, Dr Francis Adedayo Faduyile and Mr Niyi Oseni.
